ALUMINUM POSTERIOR TIBIA AND FIBULA SPLINT
(lower leg - knee length)
  • Epoxy coated alunimum with or without 1/4 inch foam padding
  • Provides excellent rigidity, yet may be molded to contour of leg
  • Available in hip and knee lengths, with airholes for ventilation
  • Radiolucent

This splint is used for fractures of the tibia (larger of two lower leg bones connecting the knee with the ankle) and fibula (smaller of two bones connecting the knee with the ankle).

The splint is precisely welded for maximum strength and safety yet is malleable enough to be custom formed to the patient. Its lightweight permits use for extended periods. It is offered with and without padding.

  • Provides excellent rigidity, yet may be molded to contour of leg
  • Available in hip and knee lengths, with airholes for ventilation
  • Radiolucent

This splint is used for fractures of the tibia (larger of two lower leg bones connecting the knee with the ankle) and fibula (smaller of two bones connecting the knee with the ankle). The added length provides immobility of the knee by rigidly linking the femur (upper leg bone connecting the knee to the hip) to the tibia and fibula (lower leg).
